Panorama Urnerboden, Alpine glow at sunrise.
The 9 kilometres long Urnerboden Valley can be reached from the village Linthal in the Linth Valley (Canton of Glarus), or during summertime by crossing the Klausen Pass road from the Schächen Valley in the Canton of Uri. Politically it is part of the canton of Uri, but topographically Urnerboden belongs to the Glarus Region.

From the end of November to the end of January, the valley floor of the Urnerboden remains without sunshine for two cold months at a time.

Berglistüber waterfall
The Berglistüber waterfall on the Fätschbach river is located along the Klausenpass road between the village Linthal and Urnerboden. The Berglistüber waterfall drops from a rocky cliff 44 meters down into a small waterpool.
