The Bachtel at 1'115 metres is a lower mountain in the Zurich Upperland between the villages Hinwil and Wald. At a clear day it offers a great view across the Linth Plain and Lake of Zürich towards the Swiss Alps. The panorama reaches from the Alpstein Range in the east, along the Glarus and Urner Alps, to the Bernese Alps in the southwest.
