The Gissar Range, also known as Hissar or Hisor, is an about 200 kilometres long mountain range in Central Asia Uzbekistan/Tajikistan), in the western part of the Pamir-Alay system. The Gissar Range lies in the north of Dushanbe (capital city of Tajikistan). It's highest peak is Mount Khazret Sultan (4'643 metres), formerly known as "Peak of the 22nd Congress of the Communist Party". It is situated at the Tajikistan-Uzbekistan border.
