The Weisshorn is a 4’506 metres high major peak of the Swiss Alps (Pennine Alps).

The first Ascent: 19.08.1861 by John Tyndall (UK) and the guides J. J. Bennen and Ulrich Wenger (Swiss).

A train of the Bern-Lötschberg-Simplon railway (Ae 6/8 Locomotive) is crossing the Luogelkin viaduct near Hohtenn (116 metres long and 50 metres high).
