The Haramosh massif is situated about 70 kilometres in the east of Gilgit. It forms together with the Malubiting (7'458 m), Rakaposhi (7'788 m) and Diran (7'266 m) the Rakaposhi-Haramosh Range.

Heinrich Roiss (1927–1959) leader, Rudolf Ebner (1922-2011), Franz Mandl, Stefan Pauer, Rudolf Hammerschlag, Karl Jettmar (1918–2002), Konrad Wiche und Eduard Piffl (1921–1998).

The first ascent was made on 4th August 1958 by Heinrich Roiss, Stefan Pauer und Franz Mandl.
