In the north of the plateau of Balochistan, the Chaghi Range forms a triangular border with Afghanistan and Iran.  

The Gonshero Pass, which connects Pakistan with Afghanistan, is situated here. The Chaghi Range is rich with minerals like copper, gold and sulphur.  

The average height of this range is 3'000 metres.

These are the mountains where Pakistan tested its nuclear weapons in 1998 and the only stamp showing this mountain range was also issued to commemorate that event of success.
