Nepal map Karte Taboche

The Taboche, also known as Tāuje, Tawoche, Tawesche, Tawache or Tawetse, is situated in the Khumbu section of the Mahalangur Himal of the Nepalese Himalaya. The Taboche is connected to Cholatse by a long ridge. The Taboche is situated opposite the Ama Dablam, separated by the Imja River, and above the villages of Pheriche and Dingboche.

The first ascent was made in 1974 by a French expedition led by Yannick Seigneur, Jean-Christian Michel, Louis Dubost, Paul Gendre and Jacques Brugirard.
