The Gunung Mulu is a sandstone and shale mountain on the island of Borneo. It is located in the state of Sarawak within the boundaries of Gunung Mulu National Park, which is named after it.

First ascent: 1920? Tama Nilong (Malaysian).

he pinnacle formations of the Gunung Mulu Nationalpark are spectacular examples of this limestone feature. Mulu’s Pinnacles tower above the surrounding landscape, some reach a heights of 40 to 50 metres.

In Borneo, deep in Sarawak’s Gunung Mulu National Park, lies one of the most spectacular caves on earth.
The Deer cave is one of the world's largest cave chamber. The cave hosts a large colony of bats who fly out of the cave at sunset. The cave is 174m wide and 122m high in one section.
