Labuan
Labuan is made up of the flat Labuan island of 95 square kilometers and six smaller islands located at the northwest coast of Borneo, north of Brunei and south of Kota Kinabalu. From 1890 to 1905 the British government placed the colony of Labuan under the administration of North Borneo. Today Labuan is a federal territory of Malaysia.

The stamps of North Borneo (1894 -1904) were printed in different colours for the Labuan islands.
All those stamps were overprinted with "LABUAN".

Please note: Fake Japanese Overprints on North Borneo Stamps are existing.
Somewhere i read, that the forget overprints are thicker and appear too smooth compared to the authenthic overprints. The ink colour is in stark contrast to the genuine example. I do not know, if the example above is genuine or not.
