Ukiyo-e is a genre of woodblock prints and paintings that flourished in Japan from the 17th through 19th centuries. 

Katsushika Hokusai (November 1760 – May 10, 1849) and Utagawa Hiroshige (1797 – 12 October 1858) are well known for the landscape series "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji", "Fifty-three Stations of the Tōkaidō", "One hundred famous views of Edo" and "Famous Views of the 60-odd Provinces".
