The Setonaikai Nationalpark includes most of the area of the Seto Inland Sea, which is seperating the three main islands Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu. The park is extending more than 400 kilometres in east-west direction and includes about 3'000 islands.

10 sen stamp: Abuto-Kannon temple (Bandaiji-temple).
The temple is situated about 13 kilometres in the southwest of Fukuyama City at the tip of the Abuto Cape on the Numakuma Peninsula.

20 sen stamp: Tomo-no-ura.
The picturesque port town Tomo-no-ura is situated in the south of Fukuyama City on the Numakuma Peninsula. The stamp is showing a view from Tomo-no-ura towards the Sensuijima Island. In the foreground is also visible the small Bentenjima Island on which is situated the Taichiro Fukuzenji temple. The Sensuijima Island was formed as a result of volcanic activity during the Mesozoic and Cretaceous periods.

The two summits on the Sensuijima Island are known as Mt. Nakaya-yama (113.9 m) on the left and Mt. Ooya-yama (159 m).

The stamp was issued in the "60th Anniversary of Local Government Law Booklet".
The illustration is showing a view across the Seto Inland Sea with Innoshima Bridge.

The same design is shown as illustration of the stamp sheet "60th anniversary series of Local Goverment Act construction Hiroshima Prefecture" (issued 2013).

Japan 2016, Seto Inland Sea.
The stamp was issued in the "60th Anniversary of Local Government Law Booklet".
It is showing a view from the area Kiro Observatory towards the Kurushima-Kaikyō Bridge (Total length 4'015 metres) of the Simanami Expressway (Seto Inland Sea).

The same design is shown as illustration of the stamp sheet "60th anniversary series of Local Goverment Act construction Ehime Prefecture" (issued 2014).

 

Japan 2016, Seto Inland Sea.
The stamp was issued in the "60th Anniversary of Local Government Law Booklet".
It shows a view from the Yashima peninsula, just in the east of the city Takamatsu towards the Seto Inland Sea.
