The potentially active volcano Norikura-dake at 3'025 m is a summit of the Hida Mountains (Northern Alps) in the Japanese Alps within the Chubu-Sangaku National Park. It is situated at the border of the Nagano and Gifu Prefectures.
The Norikura-dake is one of the 100 famous Japanese mountains.
