The Niseko Volcanic Group consists of active volcanoes and lava domes and is situated in the northwest of Niseko city on Hokkaido.
Its highest summit is the Nesekoannapuri at 1'308 metres. Other summits are the Iwaonupuri 1'116 m, Nitonupuri, Chisenupuri and Waisuhorun. The last eruption was 6'000 to 7'000 years ago. Nowadays only the Iwaonupuri shows fumarolic activity.
