Japan 2010, Great Seto Bridges.

It is a series of double deck bridges (built 1978–1988) connecting Okayama and Kagawa prefectures across a series of five small islands in the Seto Inland Sea. It consists of six separately named bridges and five viaducts. The bridges carry two lanes of highway traffic in each direction on the upper deck and one railway track in each direction on the lower deck.

The image shows a view from the Shimotsui-Seto Bridge (total length: 1'400 m, center span: 940 m), the Hitsuishijima-Viaduct (1'316 metres over Hitsuishi-jima) and the two identic Hitsuishijima- and Iwakurojima bridges (each total length: 790 m, center span: 420 m). Then there is also visible the Yoshima Bridge, a truss bridge which connects Wasa Island and Yoshima Island (length 847 meters).

The Iinoyama is visible in the background.
