The Daisen-Oki Nationalpark is situated in the Chugoku region. The park was established in 1936 as Daisen National Park. In the year 1961 the Oki Islands were included and the park was renamed to Daisen-Oki Nationalpark.
The park consists of four areas: Mt. Daisen (1'729 m) and Hiruzen Plateau, Coastal area on the Shimanehanto Peninsula, Okinoshima Islands area and the Sanbe-san area.
