The Azuma-kofuji is a dormant volcano and situated within the Bandai-Asashi Nationalpark. It belongs to the Azuma Chain. The Nishiazumayama (2'035 m) is the highest of it. The word "kofuji" means (small Mount Fuji) and it suggests, the shape of Mount Azuma is like the one of Mount Fuji.
