Nanda Devi 7'816 m

The Nanda Devi is the highest mountain in the Garhwal Himal and the second highest in India after the Kangchenjunga at the India-Nepal border. Nanda Devi is ranked as the 23rd highest peak on earth. The mountain has two summits: The main one at 7'816m and the other, Nanda Devi East, at 7' 434m.

It is situated about 15 kilometres in the northeast of Trishul.

First ascent: 29.08.1936, British Expedition, Noel Odell and Bill Tilman.
