The Mount Ushba with its spire-shaped double summit is situated close to the Russian border in the Svaneti region of Georgia. Its South Summit has an elevation of 4'710 metres and the North Summit of 4'690 m. It is one of the most majestic mountain of the Greater Caucasus. 

First ascents: 

North Summit: 1888 by John Garford Cokkin (British) and Ulrich Almer (Swiss). 

South Summit: 26.07.1903 by a German-Swiss-Austrian expedition.
Adolf Schulze (German), R. Helbling (Swiss), Frederico Reichert (German), Anton Weber (?) and Oscar Schuster (German).
