The Mt. Shkhara at 5'200 metres is the highest summit of Georgia. It is situated at the Georgian-Russian border and after the Mt. Elbrus (5'642) and Dychtau (5'204 m) the third highest mountain of the Greater Caucasus.

1888 by John Garford Cockin (British), Ulrich Almer and C. Roth (Swiss).
