The Capu Tafunatu is a 2'343 m high mountain in Corsica. As a special feature, it has a hole measuring about 30 meters out below its peak point. According to the legend the Devil forged a sense, whereby he used the mountain ridge in the middle of Paglia Orba as anvil. As the blade broke up while forging, he smashed the hammer against the mountain, so the hole became. The hammer finally pitched on the coast, where he created the Bay of Calvi .
