The Annabón Island is one of the seven provinces of Ecuatorial Guinea and is situated in the Gulf of Guinea. The island is of volcanic origin and covers an area of about 17 square kilometres. The highests summits are the extinct Quioveo Volcano at 598 metres and the Pico Lago at 525 m.
