The Vihren Peak at 2'914 metres is the highest summit of the Pirin Mountains. It is after Musala Peak (2'925 m) the second highest mountain in Bulgaria and after Musala Peak and Mt. Olympus 2'917 m in Greece the third highest summit on the Balkan Peninsula.
