The King Gorge Island of the South Shetland Archipelago, also known as Isla 25 de Ma (Argentina) or Isla Rey Jorge (Chile) covers an area of 1'150 square kilometres. The highest summit on the island is the Rose Peak at 655 m.

The Base Presidente Eduardo Frei Montalva also includes the Villa Las Estrellas residential area that has an hospital, a school, a bank, a small supermarket. It has It has a summer population of 120 and 80 in the winter.
