The Greenwich Island of the South Shetland Archipelago covers an area of 173,8 square kilometres. The highest summit of the island is the Momchil Peak (625 metres). Other summits are Mt. Plymouth (520 m), Lioyd Hills (335 m), Crutch Peaks (275 m), Lopez Nunatak (275 m), Rouscau Peak (272 m) and the Greaves Peak (240 m).

On the island are located the bases:

Arturo-Prat-Station (Chile)
Pedro Vicente Maldonado (Ecuador)
