The Komani lake (Liqeni i Komanit) is an artificial lake on the Drin river. The lake is included as a hose over 34 kilometres in the Malgun Gorge (gryka e Malgunit), a narrow valley and gorge formed over millions of years by the Drin River. It is hardly ever more than 400 meters wide. In the closest area, it is surrounded by hundreds of meters high cliffs and barely more than 50 m wide.
