On 20th of November, 2017 the State Committee for Information Technology and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic puts into circulation a souvenir sheet with two Kyrgyz Express Post postage stamps: “International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development. Pearls of Kyrgyz Nature”.
The new KEP souvenir sheet represents two natural pearls: the mountain peak of Manas (4'482 m / highest mountain of the Talas Ala Too) and Lake Kel-Suu (Sary-Beles Mountains), which attract many tourists, both Kyrgyz and foreign.
The illustration of the First Day cover shows a mirrored view from the Petrov Lake (41°54'35.97"N 78°12'49.12"E) towards (пик Петрова Mt. Petrova, appr. 4'800 m) in the east (41°52'42.21"N 78°17'32.21"E) in the Ak-Shiirak Range, Inner Tien-Shan. A full panorama from Petrov Lake you can see here (wikipedia).
